Board + Lodge: Ms. Bea’s House
Ms. Bea’s House is a fully funded residential facility dedicated to supporting men in their recovery journey from drug and alcohol dependency. Our services are tailored to meet the cultural and social needs of African American men, providing a safe and sober living environment conducive to rehabilitation.
Clients typically transition to Ms. Bea’s House following completion of chemical health treatment. Situated in North Minneapolis, our 32-bed unit offers a supportive environment where residents can continue their progress towards recovery while receiving ongoing case management support.
Licensed for Lodging with Board by the City of Minneapolis Licenses and Consumer Services Division, our facility is funded through Hennepin County’s Group Residential Supportive Housing program. Eligibility requires homelessness and qualification for Group Residential Housing.
Supportive Housing: Demo Housing
Demo Housing is a 15-unit single-bedroom complex located in North Minneapolis, offering independent living with supportive services for men transitioning from recovery. Our apartments cater to individuals with a history of chemical dependency and health conditions such as HIV/AIDS. On-site classes address health, financial, personal, and relationship challenges.
As a Group Residential Housing facility, tenants at Demo Housing may be required to contribute a portion of the rent based on their income and circumstances.
Low Income Housing: The Glenwood Apartments
Located in the heart of North Minneapolis, The Glenwood Apartments provide safe, sober, and supportive housing for individuals committed to recovery and rebuilding their lives. Developed and managed by Hayden Institute, this low-income housing community offers a stable living environment for those transitioning from treatment, reentry, or homelessness.
The Glenwood is designed to foster long-term sobriety, personal growth, and community reintegration. Residents benefit from a drug- and alcohol-free environment, access to recovery support services, case management, and close proximity to public transit, employment opportunities, and neighborhood resources.
We believe housing is a cornerstone of recovery. The Glenwood Apartments are more than affordable housing. They are a sanctuary for healing, accountability, and new beginnings in a community that cares.
